Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. As the final point of contact between the factory and our customer, this role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scan and load boxed cabinets into trucks as part of sequence of packaging and delivery.
• Ensures cabinets are loaded correctly and damage free.
• Safely utilize hand-truck/dolly and truck ramp to assist in loading.
• Secures the load with straps and ensures that proper pressure is applied.
• Uses company procedures to resolve problems.
• Assists loading team, truck spotter and shipping supervisors as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be team oriented, interactive, and possess strong communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have loading knowledge and know how to properly stack trailers to the ceiling.
• Must be a self-starter who works well under pressure and can follow a list of daily work assignments.
• Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.

Working Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Employee is subject to outside and inside environmental conditions, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change. • Primarily works in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequently required use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear clearly.
• Frequently required to bend; lift; stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Frequently required to lift 30–60-pound boxes overhead.  Occasionally required lift overhead and/or move boxes that weigh a minimum of 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
