CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: 

• All applicants must secure official admission from their preferred institution before submitting this scholarship form.
• International Scope: While local applications are open across Liberia, GPFA also accepts international undergraduate applications from five specific African nations: Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Requirements by Applicant Category
1. Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) Students

• Academic Threshold: Official high school transcript and diploma showing a cumulative average of 80% or above
• Exam Metrics: WAEC/WASSCE Certificate with clear passes in at least 5 subjects (including mandatory passes in Mathematics and English).
• Institutional Proof: Valid Admission Letter from your preferred TVET institution.
• Recommendations: Two letters of recommendation (one from your school; one from a community or religious leader).
• Essays: Completed motivational essay packet.

2. Local High School Graduates (Entering University)

• Academic Threshold: Official high school transcript and diploma showing a cumulative average of 85% or above.
• Exam Metrics: WAEC/WASSCE Certificate with clear passes in at least 5 subjects (including mandatory passes in Mathematics and English).
• Institutional Proof: Valid Admission Letter from your preferred undergraduate university.
• Recommendations: Two letters of recommendation (one from your school; one from a community or religious leader).

3. Local & International Undergraduate University Students

• Academic Threshold: Official previous semester university grade-sheet demonstrating an active, high-level GPA:
• Minimum 3.50 GPA on a standard 4.0 scale.
• Minimum 4.375 GPA on a standard 5.0 scale.
• Historical Credentials: Official high school transcript and diploma.
• Recommendations: Two letters of recommendation (one from your University Head of Department; one from a community or religious leader).
• Essays: Completed motivational essay packet.

Motivational Essay Guide
The essay section is a core evaluation point. Your written application will be assessed based on your adherence to the following four structural word limits

• Purpose: Why are you applying for this scholarship? (Maximum 200 words)
• Obstacles: What specific challenges, issues, or socio-economic obstacles have you faced in continuing your studies? (Maximum 100 words)
• Program Interest: Why are you interested in your chosen academic major or program? (Maximum 150 words)
• Suitability: What relevant qualifications, traits, and experiences make you a suitable candidate for this course? (Maximum 150 words)
