About This Opportunity
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has officially announced the opening of applications for the Government of Liberia Local Scholarship Program for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. This merit-based financial aid program covers eligible Undergraduate and Master’s Degree programs across recognized Liberian higher education institutions for the second semester.

Academic & Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for and maintain the Government of Liberia scholarship, candidates must meet the following performance standards:
- Current University Students: Must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on the most recent grade sheet or official transcript.
- Freshman / High School Graduates: Must have maintained a minimum 80% average in high school and passed at least five (5) subjects in the WASSCE, including Mathematics and English
Required Application Documents
Applicants must assemble and submit a physical package containing:
- Formal Application Letter addressed to the Ministry of Education / CEO Office.
- Official University Admission Letter (or enrollment confirmation).
- Copy of National Identification Document (Valid Passport or NIR Card).
- For Continuing Students: Copy of the most recent semester grade sheet or official transcript (reflecting a minimum GPA of 3.0).
- For Freshman Applicants: Official High School Transcript and WASSCE Certificate/Results.
